Description
Meera started with the hem. Woven into it are Jamdahni motifs, from a traditional Bengal weaving technique where each pattern is worked into the cloth by hand, thread by thread, as it's woven on the loom. It's slow, careful work, and we wanted a dress quiet enough to let it shine.
So we kept the rest balanced and simple. Meera is sleeveless and falls to mid length. Fine gathers at the sides add soft fullness, so the skirt moves easily as you walk. A horizontal pleat across the waist gives it shape, and vertical pin tucks down the centre front of the bodice add fine texture without fuss.
Look closer and you'll see a hand running stitch in a contrast thread, a small mark of the hands that made it. It's fully lined so it sits well and feels comfortable against the skin, and yes, it has pockets.
The relaxed, flattering fit takes you from day to evening. Wear it with sandals for a long lunch, then add earrings and go out to dinner.

Design
It starts with inspiration of seasons, colour, textures and patterns. After endless discussions over cups of tea, where we play with various designs and traditional weaving methods until we reach the perfect design.
Fabric
All our fabrics are designed with natural fibres and eco-friendly dyes that are breathable and gentle on the skin. Entirely hand-woven by skilled artisans with traditional weaving processes.
Production
The fabric is then transformed into our garments. The team being led by master tailors begin to create hand-crafted masterpieces with special hand stitched details that last a lifetime in your wardrobe.
